The County Government of Uasin Gishu has its Physical Development Plans in an analog format which are difficult to use and update. The County, therefore, intends to digitize the plans for easy retrieval, use, and update. This is also in line with the Constitution of Kenya 2010 which advocates for use of modern technology in conducting public matters, the National Land Policy, and all the land laws as well as the Urban Areas and Cities Act which requires that all plans are prepared and presented in a GIS format
